ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

OUR COMMUNITY & SUPPORTERS

The Wild Harvest Festival acknowledges the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Haida Nation, where this event takes place.

We are committed to travelling and gathering respectfully on Haida Gwaii, and encourage everyone to learn about and sign the Haida Gwaii Pledge.

The Festival is made possible through the support of the Sandspit Community Society, a small, local non-profit organization, as well as the generosity of our volunteers, community partners, funders, and supporters.

This is a truly grassroots Festival, run largely by volunteers who generously contribute their time, energy, skills, and enthusiasm.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped make the event possible over the years.

Thank You to Our Supporters
A very special thank you to:

  • The Moresby Explorers, for their generous support and numerous contributions of staff time, vans, tools, equipment, and more.

  • YZP / Sandspit Airport, for their support and for lending equipment to help make the Festival happen.

  • NDIT, for providing funding to support the Festival.

  • Gwaii Trust, for supporting the Festival through its granting programs.

  • Misty Isles Economic Development Society, for helping kick-start the idea of a Festival in Sandspit.

  • Bayview Garden, which has been involved since the Festival's creation and has contributed countless hours, resources, food, furniture, decorations, accommodation, and—most importantly—plenty of good vibes.

  • And, of course, thank you to all of our volunteers. Whether you've helped organize, set up, lead an activity, provide transportation, share your knowledge, or simply lend a hand when needed, your contributions are what keep this little Festival going.
