Transport!

The Sandspit Community Society might be able to offer a shuttle service during the event to transport people from and to the ferry landing. It would be by donation only. Last year's crossings were sometimes a little full and so this might make it possible for more people to come and participate in the event. Please let me know through a quick message on this post, or by email at sandspitwildharvest@gmail.com if you are interested in using such a service.

We would also strongly recommend for people to come by bike. The 10km ride from the Alliford Bay ferry landing is very scenic, without major climbs, and is a quiet and peaceful outing, as there is very little traffic on this side.

On the day of the event, I will also let people use the bicycles that we have for rent at the Visitor Centre, free of charge.
